The UK is currently experiencing a period of hot weather. While many people enjoy the sunshine, high temperatures can pose health risks, particularly for older adults, babies and young children, pregnant women, and people with long-term health conditions.
Symptoms can include:
If you or someone else develops symptoms, move to a cool place, drink fluids, and seek medical advice if symptoms do not improve.
Call 999 if someone becomes confused, loses consciousness, has a seizure, or shows signs of heatstroke. Heatstroke is a medical emergency.
For further information, please visit the GOV.UK guidance on staying safe during hot weather.
Thank you for helping to keep yourself and others safe during periods of hot weather.
